Discovery Kits - The Touchstone Energy® Cooperatives and Discovery Channel® have teamed up to offer a unique education tool that conveys a real-world understanding of the power and purpose of electricity, as well as the important role of electric cooperatives in bringing power to rural America. The Get Charged! curriculum kits and this initiative enable our member systems to demonstrate their commitment to communities they serve while providing an effective educational program about electricity and rural electrification.

KCCI-TV SchoolNet - Along with KCCI-TV 8, weather equipment is installed throughout Iowa at schools and obtains and disseminates real-time weather data via the Internet.

KGAN-TV Weather Eye - CIPCO helps underwrite this weather education site for students, teachers and parents.

Louie the Lightning Bug - A featured character of the "Electric Universe" - Louie the Lightning Bug is a cartoon lightning bug character who teaches electrical safety.

Safe Electricity - Safe Electricity is a nationally recognized, multi-media public awareness program designed to compliment the existing safety-education activities of utilities and educators. Safe Electricity provides information through radio and television public services announcements, news releases and articles as well as its comprehensive web site which hosts "The Electrical Universe" and "Electrical Safety World" all dedicated to promoting electrical safety and efficiency.

University of Northern Iowa/CIPCO Enhancement Fund Program - Developed to augment the academic programs of students with experiential learning opportunities that will allow for students to develop internships with start-up Iowa businesses.
