KCCI-TV School Net - Along with KCCI-TV 8, weather equipment is installed throughout Iowa at schools and obtains and disseminates real-time weather data via the Internet. This data is also used in the classroom to teach science, math and meteorology. |

The Super Energy Saver Classroom Kits are designed for school age children grades K-5 including materials to teach students about electricity, electrical safety, energy savings, and renewable energy. The program is designed for teachers or cooperative staff to present to children. The children learn how to become “Super Energy Savers” by taking a checklist, and with the help of their parents, walking through their home to identify energy saving practices. |

The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) and The Advertising Council have launched a series of PSAs starring Tinker Bell. Developed by The Walt Disney Studios, the new PSAs featuring Tinker Bell are designed to educate 8-10 year olds on how to save energy. Included on this site are videos, games, puzzles, coloring pages, Energy Smart School activity book and other resources. Additional information includes tips on energy efficient behaviors and ways to learn about new technological advances to reduce energy consumption. |

The Energy Information Administration (EIA) has redesigned this website, featuring more than 100 pages of fun educational content for kids, parents, and teachers. With the help of its host, Energy Ant, kids can learn about energy and challenge their brains with energy Sukoku, crossword puzzles, and word searches. |

Safe Electricity is a nationally recognized, multi-media public awareness program designed to compliment the existing safety-education activities of utilities and educators. Safe Electricity provides information through radio and television public service announcements, news releases and articles as well as its comprehensive website which hosts "Electric Universe" and "Electrical Safety World" all dedicated to promoting electrical safety and efficiency. |

The Get Charged! curriculum kits are a unique educational tool made available through the Touchstone Energy® Cooperatives and Discovery Channel® that conveys a real-world understanding of the power and purpose of electricity, as well as the important role of electric cooperatives played in bringing power to rural America. This initiative enables our member systems to demonstrate their commitment to the communities they serve while providing an effective educational program about electricity and rural electrification. This program is designed for grades 5 through 9. |
